Eyelash Extension Types

Eyelash supplies come in a wide range of styles and options to choose from that allow you to be endlessly creative.  Whether your client is looking for natural, dramatic, or volume – there is a lash for every occasion and for every style.

To get started you need to consider 4 elements:

  • Lash Type: What type of lash are you after to create the look to suit your client
  • Curvature: How curly do you want the lashes to be. Strong curl to give dramatic look or open the eye or a more natural curvature?
  • Diameter: What lash thickness you use depends on the strength and width of the natural lash
  • Length: How long can the lashes be for a safe application

Lash Types

Choosing the curvature defines your design. There a range of reasons for choosing different eyelash extensions types depending on the look you are after.

X35 – Get a soft, flirty, and feminine curl with the X35 eyelashes. This is the lash that probably comes closest to the curve of the average person’s natural lash and it’s an excellent option for all lash types and eye shapes.

X40 – The X40 eyelashes are the most universally popular extensions in the Xtreme Lashes line. If you want a noticeable increase in curl, one that compares to your hand-held lash curler, the X40s are going to give you that look. They’re dramatic and different from your natural lashes without being over the top.

X50 – X50s is the vixen lashes of the Xtreme line. If you’re after a high drama appearance and want doll-like, doe-eyed lashes, these are the extensions for you! WARNING – Not for the weak or faint-hearted! These eyelashes are for full-blown, flirtatious flutters! (But don’t forget equally as good for the older lady who needs a lift and doesn’t get in the way of their glasses.)

X90 – Perfect for those with downward sloping straight lashes or those with protruding eyes – the kick on the end of the lash give these girls and the lift they without the separation you may experience with a curl like the X50’s!

lash width

Width is important to get right. Just as you would measure the lashes to get the right lash length for your client, don’t forget to look at the natural diameter and choose accordingly! Eyelash Extension types come in a wide range of diameters so it is handy to have a range. The most common width is 0.10 or 0.15 for Classic Lashes and .03, .05 or .07 for Volume.

Lash extension lengths

Xtreme Lashes eyelash extensions generally range from 6mm to 14mm – with some Lash types reaching having up to 17mm. Consider buying the multi tray options when exploring new eyelash lash types – before buying single sizes trays.
